What does "as-built" mean?
An as-built documents a building as it actually exists today, not as it was designed. Floor plans, CAD drawings, BIM models and point clouds made from a scan of the real space are as-built documentation.
Which file do I need?
For room sizes, doors and windows: the Measured Floor Plan. For drawings in AutoCAD: the CAD File. For a 3D model in Revit: the BIM File. For raw 3D data: the E57 File or MatterPak. For insurance claims: TruePlan for Xactimate or the Matterport Sketch File. Not sure? Tell us what the file is for and we will recommend one.
How is the price calculated?
Most files are priced by the size of the space; each product page shows example prices. The E57 File ($159) and MatterPak ($99) cost the same for any model size. All files are added to the price of the Matterport scan.
Who produces the files?
We scan the property with a professional Matterport camera. The Measured Floor Plan is made by us; the CAD, BIM, E57, MatterPak, TruePlan and Sketch files are produced by Matterport from the same scan.
Can I order several files from one scan?
Yes. One scan can deliver any combination, for example a Measured Floor Plan for the owner and a BIM File for the architect.
